Operationalizing Governance for Youth-Facing LLM Well-being Support: A Community-Based Participatory Study
Community-based participatory study with 38 stakeholders (young people, parents and youth care workers) on governance requirements for large language models that young people use for well-being support. Reflexive thematic analysis yields three stakeholder-derived governance domains, Interaction, Context and Escalation, with divergence on escalation to external support. The authors translate the accounts into preliminary normative requirements and dialogue inspection examples for fine-tuning guidance and post-hoc evaluation.
